No. We do not charge late fees or no-show fees. If your schedule changes, we do our best to work with you and find a time that fits your needs.
Please bring your photo ID, insurance information, and any questions you would like to discuss. If you have recent dental X-rays or records, those can also be helpful.
2) Braces
We offer orthodontic treatment options that may include metal braces and clear braces, depending on your needs and treatment goals.
Braces do not usually hurt, but it is normal to feel some soreness or pressure after they are placed or adjusted. This usually improves within a few days.
Treatment time depends on the complexity of your case. After your exam, Dr. Kendrick will explain your treatment plan and the estimated length of treatment.
Yes. Patients with braces should avoid very hard, sticky, or chewy foods that can break brackets or wires.
Yes. You can usually continue sports while wearing braces. A mouthguard may be recommended to help protect your teeth and braces.
3) Invisalign
Yes. Kendrick Orthodontics offers Invisalign for many teens and adults, depending on the type of tooth movement and bite correction needed.
The best way to know is to schedule a consultation. Dr. Kendrick will examine your teeth and bite and let you know whether Invisalign or braces would be the better option for your case.
For many patients, Invisalign can be very effective. However, some orthodontic problems are better treated with braces. The right choice depends on your individual needs.
Invisalign aligners need to be worn as directed for treatment to work properly. Dr. Kendrick will explain exactly what is required for your case.
Yes. Invisalign is a popular option for adults who want a more discreet way to improve their smile and bite.
4) Kids, Teens & Early Treatment
Many children should have their first orthodontic evaluation around age 7. This does not always mean treatment is needed right away, but it helps identify problems early.
Early treatment, sometimes called Phase One treatment, may be recommended when a child is still growing. It can help guide jaw development, improve bite problems, and create room for permanent teeth.
No, not every child needs a palatal expander. Some children benefit from an expander to widen the upper jaw, create additional space for crowded teeth, and improve the bite. During your child’s evaluation, Dr. Kendrick will determine whether an expander is needed and explain all available treatment options.
In some cases, orthodontic evaluation can help identify growth and bite patterns that may be related to airway concerns. Dr. Kendrick will explain what he sees and whether treatment may help.
No. Orthodontic treatment can be a great option for adults. Many adults choose braces or Invisalign to improve their smile, bite, and overall dental health.
5) TMJ, Bite, Airway & Surgical Orthodontics
Yes. Orthodontic treatment can help improve many bite problems, including overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite, crowding, and spacing.
Dr. Kendrick evaluates jaw position and bite relationships carefully. If TMJ/TMD symptoms may be related to your bite, he will discuss the findings and possible next steps with you.
Yes. Some patients have more complex bite or jaw issues that require detailed treatment planning. Dr. Kendrick will explain your options clearly and honestly.
Some patients with significant jaw discrepancies may benefit from orthodontic treatment combined with jaw surgery. If that is needed, Dr. Kendrick will explain the process and discuss the appropriate next steps.
Not always. Tooth removal is recommended only when truly necessary and only after a careful evaluation of your teeth, bite, jaw position, and treatment goals.
